Huh?

While strolling around the East Village yesterday, I passed this unique little spot. Like, come on now. Only in New York. Getting a tattoo is as big of a deal as getting a little cup of coffee to a lot of New Yorkers. I mean, that's cool I guess. I wonder if they have sugar-free flavor shots. If not I'm DEF not ever going... or getting a tattoo.

Later that evening, I met a friend for dinner at the Life Cafe. Here is what wikipedia has to say about the Life Cafe:

The Life Cafe is a restaurant in the Alphabet City district of New York City. Although primarily known for being referenced several times in Jonathan Larson's Tony and Pulitzer Prize winning musical, Rent, the restaurant has been anchoring the corner of 10th Street and Avenue B in some form since 1980. In Rent, the Cafe hosted the main characters and an ensemble for the musical scene featuring the song, La Vie Boheme, a high energy number about living the Bohemian life.

If only I would have seen Rent or listened to the soundtrack on repeat like many of my college sorority sisters I'd be impressed but eh.

Following dinner, we went to this cute little French bistro called Jules... it also hosted foosball tournaments which is what drew me in in the first place. (DRINKING?? FOOSBALL?? JAZZ?!!) But it turned out to be an extremely classy place.. see following pictures:

So, new music Friday. (I just made that up). Seven Words: Kings of Leon Only By The Night. So good.
Must. Download. Illegally. Now.

My favorite song (so far) (right now) is Revelry. It's touching. Maybe.

OH LOOK! I found the song on youtube so you can listen to it right now. God, I'm savvy.
