B.R.U.C.E

Bring on the cornbread, sweet tea (beer), and gallons of water. Summer has officially ended and the 4th annual Brooklyn Underground Chili Extravaganza is going down at Barcade in Williamsburg.

Chili-lovin fans battle it out on Sunday. Anyone can enter as long as you follow the five rules:

1. Chili comes in a pot, pot does not come in the chili.
2. Everyone must bring their chili in a crockpot to ensure proper serving temperature.
3. Vegetarian chili competes on an even field with carnivore chili. 2006's winner was a killer vegi-chili.
4. Toppings and garnishes are allowed.
5. All chili's must have a name. If there is a tie after the taste off, judges vote on the best name. Best name wins tiebreaker.

There will only be ten contestants selected for the BRUCE '08. The winner from the previous year is the only person guaranteed entry. Go to BARCADE 388 Union Ave. Brooklyn, NY and put your name in the BRUCE BOX to enter the pool of potential contestants.

May the best bean-meat-tofu-tomato-chili mixture win. Prepare to stuff face starting at 8PM.
