Honey Honey - Feist

Childhood... Full stream ahead

Why am I never in NYC to experience these things? Newmindspace, who touts themselves as an interactive public art group that creates awesome events in an effort to make NYC into the "urban playground" all of our inner 8-year-old selves would love. This weekend they had a Big Wheeler Race in Central Park.

There was prizes for the most original big wheeler, costume, and 4th place finisher (say what?)

It brings me back to the glory days when my sister and I would race down our gravel-ridden driveway in an effort to collide with the nearest object at the finish line. Which usually happened to be my dad. Good times.

They do some pretty awesome events include capture the flag, pillow fights (see picture - Union Square, March 2008) and lightsaber battles.

Bananarexia?

So my mom sent me this article from Time magazine. Apparently there's this new diet fad in Japan: The Morning Banana Diet.

"The Morning Banana Diet regime is simple: A banana (or as many as you want) and room temperature water for breakfast; eat anything you like for lunch and dinner (by 8 p.m.). A three o'clock snack is okay, but no desserts after meals, and you have to go to bed before midnight."

People are dropping mad weight over there by following this routine. Seems bogus to me, but I've always like bananas...

NYMag selected some posts from Nickelodeon's Kids Pick the President boards and posted them to their blog.

My personal favorite is mccain23's because you can just imagine the church the poor kid is sitting in...

Gag.
