The NY Times has an article today about a style of dress that A has been sportin around the office these days (j/k) that fashionistas everywhere are calling "Lolita". The article characterizes the style of dress as "childhood fantasy of Alice in Wonderland seems to collide full force with the Addams Family."

The style, which emerged from the Japanese street fashion scene in the 1990s, has many incarnations and subsects, among them Elegant Gothic Lolitas, Erotic Lolitas, Gory Lolitas, Sweet Lolitas and White Lolitas.

Sweet, slap me on a bonnet and fill my bottle up with white grape vodka. I'm bringing perv back in fashion.

Over the weekend the Improv Everywhere troupe was back for another MP3 Experiment extravaganza, this time taking place on Governor's Island. They estimate around "1.5 jabillion" were in attendance, and promise some video in the coming weeks. What we do know: the MP3 included both music and instructions (listen), a bear (or Furry) was in attendance, and balloons were somehow involved. Were you there? (Word for Word VIA Gothamist)

As September comes to a gradual end, I would like to reflect on the pretty great weather we had in NY.

A Good Time To Party.

This is my mom's response to my gawker.com posting.

Also, My parents are going to Cabo San Lucas (sp?) and my mom likes to send me "Digital Brochures" of their suite to make me jealous. But at least she gives me tips on good times to party.
